Grace and Courtesy: Beyond ‘please’ and ‘thank you’

Parents want children to be polite, kind, and civilized. But what does it take to foster that outcome? Mammals, especially humans, are social learners. We gain knowledge from our environment and from other people, especially from those whom we love. … Continued

Testimonials

It’s been a hard decision for us to make as both Isabella and Liam are so happy! And it’s been amazing to see how much they have learnt and grown.   I’m particularly fond of everyone at Singing Forest, I feel like we are part of a special family and have enjoyed the caring, loving, relaxed why in which the school is run.  I absolutely love all the teachers and in particular Amy and Diana.  (And of course our dear Fathima).   Andrea you are phenomenal. I’ve had the pleasure seeing y…
I heard about this fantastic crèche from a friend and being a first time parent one always has their doubts. Heather is the school principal and when I contacted her she was more than willing to assist with everything. From day one I loved what they did and my daughter is now more alive and has really grown in the time she has been here. The teachers and staff love our children like their own and look after them better than sometimes we can. I want to thank everyone there for their part in…
When my son KB joined Singing Forest he was 22 months old and we were barely a family of 10 children at the school.  Such humble and memorable beginnings we had.  When he left the school at the end of 2013, our Singing Forest family had grown beautifully and my KB, now a tall 5 year old hunk of a guy (about to turn 6), was ready to take on big school – in every way, thanks to Singing Forest! At Singing Forest, life is beautiful!  From the very beginning, Heather ensured a personal relati…
Hi Heather I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate everything you and your staff have done to help Khensani She’s gone from being a very reserved child to being a confident, bubbly, focused little girl! You’ve helped build the foundation for improved learning achievement, focus and social interactions. The impact of your help is so significant. It will help her for the rest of her life. I truly can’t thank you enough and will be forever grateful. Much Appreciated Love …
It feels like my baby is leaving a part of his family. It has been a wonderful year for him and I still believe bringing him to Singing Forest this year was a good move and we are happy with all he has learned, just sorry it was so short.
Thank you Heather for the excellent service you are always giving. And May God Pour His Blessings over you and your entire family. We are so grateful to have someone like you whom we can always count on, trust and believe in with our little souls who we …

Hi Heather,
I wanted to drop you a quick mail to say thank you so much for the get well card Kuval made for my mom. She wanted me to tell you she appreciates the thought. She was in tears when he gave it to her.
Thank you again
Warm Regards
Parmeshia
Dear Heather and all Adin’s Teachers,   An Inspirer, an Empower, an Engager and a Friend.  These characteristics are just a short sample of the many you and your team demonstrate with all of your students, including Adin, every single day. Too often we progress through the ‘ropes of life,’ and do not invest the time to express our gratitude and authentic value for the support you so eagerly share for our growth, as not only for your students at your school, but also as global citiz…
Heather,  you are doing an amazing job!   My mother thinks Boston is way ahead of his 12 cousins in manners, neatness, consideration for others and just general grown up attitude.   I very much attribute this to school.  Obviously we work on this at home but I know it’s MOSTLY school.   You should see his room.  It has to be absolutely spotless at all times.  He won’t go to bed without everything being put away and boy oh boy, everything has it’s place.   LOVE IT!

“My very defiant, headstrong and michievious little boy has spent a year and a half at Singing Forest – and I cannot praise the school and staff highly enough. The loving & supportive environment they have created ensured our little man could be himself, but could also find his way and his place in a montessori classroom context; he has developed and grown under the care and facilitation of Aneesa and Andrea in particular. Tha…
I am so grateful that my son Oscar was able to join Heather and her crew at Singing Forest. I was absolutely confident that he was in the best possible hands and the staff always went above and beyond nurturing and stimulating my child, enabling him to reach his full potential. He is now at Chartwell House Montessori Eco School. Thanks so much Heather, Andrea and Ruth!!! Elise Kreusch
